DBZ Movie Summaries
Movie 1: The Dead Zone
The film starts off with
Piccolo training hard, when he is attacked from behind by many enemies, all
of which destroy him easily. He is attacked by a multitude of powerful energy
beams, and seemingly dies.
We shift to Goku’s house where Gohan sits peacefully, doing some routine
studying and working hard as ever. He is fascinated by the results of the
information he’s receiving from the book. Chi Chi calls Gohan in for
dinner, before the Ox King arrives with his hands full of present. Gohan goes
to greet him, and happily says hello. Suddenly, Ox falls onto his knees revealing
a mysterious monster of some sort standing behind him. The monster is after
the Dragonball on Gohan’s hat, but Chi Chi won’t let him touch
her son. Some more monsters join the fray, all of which are after Gohan. Chi
Chi lunges into the one who seems to be the leader, but is pummeled straight
to the floor, as Gohan is captured, and taken away by the four monsters.
Goku arrives on the scene shortly after everyone leaves, to find his wife and father-in-law on the floor in agony. He quickly sees to their needs, then takes off in search of his son.The leader of the monsters is sitting on his throne, announcing that he almost has all the Dragonballs, and is going to wish for eternal life. The monster is Garlic Jr, and his intentions are purely evil. Gohan whines, but everyone merely laughs in his face. Garlic can sense some hidden power in him though, and invites Gohan to be his disciple.
Goku grabs the Dragon radar, and locates his son, before soaring off to rescue him.
Gohan manages to run
off from his captors, exploring the palace, and finding some sort of alcoholic
fruit. He eats it, and goes through a weird dance scene where he is totally
drunk, dancing around with dinosaurs, etc. He ends it by falling asleep on
Garlic Jr’s throne, much to his ‘Babysitters’ annoyance.
Suddenly, someone shouts out that the final Dragonballs have been collected.
Garlic Jr summons out Shenron, and quickly wishes for immortality before anyone
can thwart his plans. Getting the new power gives Garlic Jr a new arrogance
about him, with a new burst of power making him stronger than ever. Goku arrives
on the scene, but it is far too late, the wish has already been made. Garlic
Jr mocks him, then walks off, leaving Goku to battle his minions. Before the
fight starts though, Kami arrives, meaning that Piccolo isn’t dead.
He explains that he beat Garlic Jr’s father to the throne of Earth’s
guardian, and knows that the only reason that Garlic is here is to revenge
his fathers defeat. Garlic was sentenced to be sealed away for eternity by
the previous Earth’s guardian.
Goku realizes where Gohan is, and races into the building, leaving Kami to fight Garlic Jr. The Saiyan is ambushed by Garlic Jr’s three monsters, and they all fight viciously for a while, with neither of them able to gain any sort of advantage on the apposing force. Goku fights them all, and even though it is three-on-one, he still manages to overcome them for a fair bit of time. He knocks them all to the floor, and demands one of them to tell him where Gohan is. Before an answer can be given, the other two minions attack the Saiyan with energy beams, with him seeing them too late to put up any sort of defense. Some how they are deflected away though. A silhouette is revealed. It’s Krillin! Another power arrives on the scene…this time it’s Piccolo! Krillin runs off from him, scared out of his mind. Suddenly, some sort of liquid drops on Krillin’s head. Gohan is leaking on him!
Kami and Garlic Jr continue the ferocious battle, with Kami being the distinct loser of it, being pummeled to within an inch of his life.
Krillin is left to take care of Gohan, whilst Goku and Piccolo easily eliminate the minions, with Goku taking out two, and Piccolo taking one. The two most powerful warriors in the world go in search of Garlic Jr, to finish him off. They find him, and rough him up a fair bit, teaming up well even though they are bitter enemies. They force the evil one to transform, where the fight evens out a bit, although Goku and Piccolo still have the overall advantage. Eventually, Garlic Jr opens up a portal to another world called the Dead Zone, which will trap whoever goes into it for all eternity. It sucks everything in apart from the Earthlings, who all hold onto some sort of pillar, or object. Gohan is no where to be seen though,. Goku and piccolo are about to be sucked in, and trapped forever, when Gohan bursts out of the rocks, and slowly advances on Garlic Jr, somehow nullifying the effects of his attack. He then powers up, and nails Garlic Jr, right into his own Dead Zone, locking him away forever where he shall suffer his eternal life in solitary darkness.
Everyone walks off, with Gohan not even remembering the days events, and not even knowing that he is any sort of a powerful fighter.
Movie
2: The World's Strongest
This film starts off with Piccolo training solitarily in an icy mountain range,
unable to so much as crack the stubborn, rigid, and enormous things. Gohan
and Oolong are in search of the Dragonballs, with Oolongs goal to wish for
panties. They notice that all the Dragonballs are gathering in one place,
via looking at the Dragon radar. They approach their destination slowly, and
get closer and closer.
Meanwhile, an old, frail man named Dr. Kochen is the one who collected all the Dragonballs, and has set them up on top of an icy cavern. He calls out Shenron, and wishes for the ice to be melted so his mentor – Dr. Willow – could finally be released from his tomb. Using incredible power, Shenron grants the wish, then disappears, along with the Dragonballs. A huge structure has been raised, and Dr. Kochen makes his evil intentions clear. Gohan and Oolong wander along, when suddenly a group of creatures attack them, pushing Oolong out of the way, and beating Gohan to a pulp. Piccolo steps in though, and rescues his friend, easily defeating all of the saibamen-look-a-likes. Gohan loses grasp of his consciousness, and fades away. Piccolo looks around, then is hit by some sort of red aura soaring out of the group, putting him in a great deal of pain.
Gohan and Oolong wake up, hurt only slightly, and wondering where Piccolo has gone. They assume he went home, and they do the same.
On Roshi’s island, Bulma and Oolong are in the kitchen, cooking intently. The doorbell rings, and turtle answers it. The saibamen-look-a-likes are here for Roshi! The old man comes out, and makes it clear that he has no interest in fighting. He doesn’t have a choice though, and the three creatures jump on him, trying to hurt him, but failing miserably, as Roshi easily beats them across the floor. He turns to walk off, but a man claps. It’s Kochen! He tells Roshi that it is just what he expected from the strongest man in the world, and that he is going to accompany him to Dr. Willow. Roshi explains that he doesn’t want to go, but the saibamen creatures have captured Bulma, threatening to harm her if Roshi doesn’t co-operate. He has no choice but to go with them.
Goku finds out what has happened, and sets off on his nimbus, to find and rescue both Bulma and Roshi.
Roshi stand in darkness, with Bulma chained up, unable to escape. Kochen releases three bio warriors, with a short fight ensuing. Roshi is the eventual loser of this though, with the bio warriors being far too powerful for him.
Bulma informs Kochen that Roshi isn’t the strongest man in the world anymore, so they should leave him alone. Dr Willow now speaks, and demands to know who the worlds strongest is. Bulma remembers them by name, and says that they should have died in an avalanche. Kochen reveals Dr Willow, a huge brain floating in water, and tells that his body as destroyed in the avalanche, but his brain was able to survive. Bulma is astounded, then tells them both that Goku is now the strongest fighter in the world. Dr Willow and Dr Kochen reveal that Willow will take Goku’s body, and insert his great mind into it, making the most powerful person in the universe. Willow reveals that his plan is for revenge, like so many other villains.
Goku finally arrives, with Dr Willow noticing his incredible power. He steps up to the door, but is attacked by a large, yellow monster. It is one of the bio warriors that defeated Roshi! Goku has to run inside because he is unable to gain any power due to the terrible coldness of the buildings location. He moves into a far warmer room, with the fat yellow monster in hot pursuit. He stops, and battles with the monster for a while, eventually managing to defeat him by ripping through his huge, flexible stomach with the use of a kai-o-ken power up. He moves so fast that after he bursts through the monsters stomach, he goes straight through the roof, and into a new room.
He meets two more bio warriors here, and after a fairly large fight, he manages to beat them, with more than a little help from Gohan and Krillin. Goku moves into the main chamber, and located Dr Willow. Before he can do anything though, Piccolo steps in front of him, with some sort of yellow veins on his head. The two are forced to fight, with Goku not understanding why Piccolo is doing this. Gohan keeps foolishly getting in the way, and getting beat up by Piccolo. Gohan gets so mad that he releases surges of energy, with such force that they make the veins on Piccolo’s head disappear, and Dr Willow hurt badly.
Dr Willow is mad at this, and stands up, creating a huge gap in the ground, which Dr Kochen falls down, revealing himself to be nothing more than a robot. Willow is in a huge mechanical suit, and easily beats up the combo of Goku, Gohan, Piccolo, Roshi, and Krillin, with the size of all of them put together, and then some. He puts a beating on everyone, but in the end Goku comes through, with an incredibly powerful Kamehameha, with having such force that Dr Willow is shot straight through the roof of the building, into the depths of space. Goku knows it’s not over though, and begins charging up a spirit bomb. Willow recovers, and begins to charge up an attack of his own. He shoots it down, as everyone but Goku run out of the collapsing building. Goku finishes his spirit bomb, but is unable to throw it due to being pummeled by the power of Willow’s energy beam. Everyone thinks that it is over, as Gohan and Piccolo fly up towards Willow in fits of rage, later joined by Krillin. They rough up the evil mastermind for a while, before he shoots an incredible beam of energy down at the Earth, hoping to destroy it. Luckily though, Goku has somehow recovered, and charged up a spirit bomb. He throws it up, intercepting the beam, and pushing it back, eventually destroying Dr Willow.
And so the bad guy is dead, and the world is saved from the depths of turmoil once again by Goku and the others.
Movie 3: Ultimate Decisive Battle for Earth
A probe-like machine
flies to the Earth. Without thought, it starts a forest fire. Gohan and Krillin
put out the fire and
save a purple dragon. The forest is gone so they gather the Dragonballs and
Gohan wishes the forest back. The next day the machine scans the planet and
reports back to a group of pirates. They talk for a little while and decide
to plant the Tree of Might on the earth to drain all of its life energy. It
quickly destroys a lot. Gohan and Goku are at home relaxing. The purple dragon
that Gohan saved follows him around. Chi-chi dislikes it, but Gohan keeps
the dragon. Yamacha has bought in a new flying car and wants to impress Bulma
with it. While flying the car is destroyed and Yamacha is left there.
The tree destroys cities and many miles of Earth. Goku, Krillin, Yamacha, Tienshinhan, and Chiaotzu all head to the roots of the tree. Chi-chi made Gohan stay home. They all try to blast the tree, but it's no good. The space pirates show up and start battling the Z fighters. Gohan sneaks out and finds the leader of the pirates who looks a lot like Goku. Taurus talks to Gohan and finds out he's a Saiyan. He then creates a fake moon like Vegeta did and turns Gohan Oozaru. Gohan goes crazy and starts attacking Goku. Gohan sees the purple dragon he saved and it gets his attention. Taurus then attacks Gohan so Goku cuts Gohan's tail off. The Z fighters are defeated so Taurus's henchmen attack Goku, but he kills them all. Taurus then attack Goku and they seem pretty close in power.
Taurus eats a piece of the fruit from the tree making him a lot stronger than Goku even when he does Kaio-ken x10. Goku makes a spirit bomb to try to defeat Taurus. Taurus sees the ball coming at him and deflects it. Taurus was able to deflect it since the Earth didn't have much power to give the bomb. Goku attempts another bomb, but this time he takes energy from the tree instead of the earth. He fires the bomb at Taurus and hits. Taurus is killed along with the Tree of Might and all the energy is give back to the earth. All is peaceful again on the earth.
Movie 4: Lord Slug
This movie begins with a shot of Piccolo. He is meditating under a waterfall. The peaceful moment is shattered when Gohan and Higher Dragon come. Gohan has taught Higher Dragon how to dance by him whistling. Piccolo tells Gohan to stop short after, his ears are too sensitive.
Now the real stuff starts.
A giant asteroid is head strait for earth, but don t worry, Goku and Krillin
are on their way. They try and stop, but unable to. It explodes right before
hitting Earth. The Asteroid actually turned to be a planet, or something of
the sort. The inhabitants are space pirates with horns on their heads. They've
come to Tarreform the planet (covering it with a giant cloud over the sky
and making the temperature drop dramatically). Their leader is Lord Slug.
Gohan is at the site where it crashed. He then starts beating the crap out
of them (in my opinion the best part of the movie). But he gets hurt and his
hat falls off, witch Lord Slug takes. He then gets the Dragon Radar from Bulma
and sends his men to find the rest. Within a hours time, he has all seven.
He then wishes for youth. Now the battle begins. Gohan and Piccolo face off
against some of Slug s Strongest men. Piccolo easily defeats his opponent
without barely working, while Gohan has some trouble. That s when
Goku and Krillin arrive. Krillin doesn't t help too much. But Goku easily
destroys the two remaining men and faces off against Slug.
Goku gets beat up, until he goes Super Saiyan. His hair is still black, it
is kind of stupid. But anyway, they then fight and Goku is winning, until
Lord Slug revels to be a Namek. For some reason, Goku stops being Super Saiyan
and goes back to normal. Slug grows into a giant and is easily winning. Piccolo
then gets an idea. He rips, yes rips off his ears and yells to Gohan and tell
him to whistle. Gohan, who s barely conscious does. The affect causes Slug
to lose control, and Goku flies up past the clouds. With the sun s help, Goku
now has enough energy for a Spirit Bomb. He quickly makes one and hits Lord
Slug. The Earth then goes back to normal.
Movie 5: Best Of Strongest Vs. Strongest
This film starts off with Gohan studying hard as ever, attempting to finish so that he can go out with his dad – Goku. Chi-Chi watches over her son in an over-protective way. Oolong and Krillin enter, just as Gohan finishes his homework. Everyone is carrying backpacks, and Goku reveals that they are about to go camping.
Kooler, the brother of Frieza, speaks of his siblings defeat by a Super Saiyan. He vows for vengeance, and goes off with his followers to Earth.
The gang are gathering firewood at the camping location, before Gohan and Krillin are attacked from behind, leaving Oolong cowering in fear. The attackers reveal themselves to be Kooler’s henchmen, consisting of three highly skilled warriors. One of them messes around with Gohan, swinging him round by his tail, agitating him greatly. Goku sees what is happening, and runs over, demanding that his son be released. The henchmen turn to the Saiyan, and attack him intently, but are unable to lay a hand on him. He toys around with them until their boss arrives, and scares them all into backing off. Goku turns to see Kooler, and at first mistakes him for Frieza. The evil being sees Goku, and knows at once that he is a Super Saiyan, even though he is in his normal form. Gohan picks up Krillin, and flies towards his dad. Kooler sees this, and targets them with his eye lasers, but Goku nobly dives in the way, and takes the blast for his son, causing him to drop into a flowing river, with his son and Krillin held tightly in his arms. They are washed along for a while, before Goku is pulled out of the water, and taken to shelter by his friend and son. Kooler knows Goku isn’t finished, and orders his warriors to find and destroy the injured warriors.
Gohan sets off in search of Karin the cat, and sensu beans, leaving Krillin to car for Goku. It takes Gohan a short while, but eventually he arrives, and Karin reluctantly hands the beans over, followed by Yajirobe giving him one for good luck, which he tucks into his belt gratefully.
Gohan turns back, but is found by the henchmen, who try and bully him into giving them the bag of sensu beans. Once again though, as is so often in these DBZ movies, Piccolo saves him. Gohan flies off towards his dad, whilst Piccolo fights the warriors, gaining a small advantage, and killing two out of the three of them. He fights with the other one, with a distinct overall superiority until Kooler comes along, and blasts him right out of the sky, defeating him easily, but not managing to kill him. Piccolo soars downwards, in agony, and is unable to pull himself out of the descent. He too mistakes Kooler for Frieza, as he sees his last waking moments, before fading into unconsciousness.
The one remaining henchmen finds Gohan and Krillin, and attacks them, but not before Gohan manages to give Goku a sensu bean. After a short amount of time, Goku walks out of the cave. Kooler arrives at this point, with Piccolo held in his hand. Goku confronts him, and Kooler drops the Namek down to the Saiyan. Goku holds out his arms to catch Piccolo, but before he can, Kooler blasts the Namek, knocking him down faster, a flaming wreck. Goku is incredibly angry, and charges at Kooler. They battle for a short while, with Goku eventually managing to force Kooler a to back off, and transform into his most powerful state.
Kooler easily defeats Goku in this form, even after he had used his most powerful attack – The Kamehameha, with Kooler easily gliding right through it, and slamming the Saiyan to the ground with his superior speed and strength. Goku has had enough of Kooler, and remembers all that he has done to his friends, and his rage bursts out, allowing him to turn Super Saiyan. He is far more powerful in this form, and defeats Kooler with very little effort, having a huge advantage up to the point where Kooler is seemingly too hurt to continue. Suddenly, he shoots a sneak attack right at the Super Saiyan, with Goku not even bothering to block it, as he is too strong for it to hurt him. A cloud of smoke goes up, and this is all Kooler needs. He gathers the energy for a huge death ball, and when Goku sees it, it is too late to stop the attack from being launched right at him. Goku catches it, but it drives him down to the ground. He struggles against it for a while, before pulling out all his power, and reversing the attack with a Kamahameha wave, hitting it right back at Kooler, and driving him right out of the Earths atmosphere, directly into the sun, with the intensive power of his beam. The threat has been vanquished, and the Earth is safe once more thanks to Son Goku – Super Saiyan.
Movie 6: Attack! 10,000,000,000 Power Warriors!
This film begins where
the last one left off. It is the aftermath of the Kooler battle, Goku lies
on the floor, completely fatigued, and unable to move. Gohan and Krillin comfort
him, and Piccolo seems to have disappeared after suffering heavy injuries
after his colossal battle. Some rubble begins to move, making Gohan walk over
to it, hoping that it is Piccolo. From out of the debris emerges Kooler’s
most powerful henchman though, laughing manically, and ready to kill them
all. Suddenly, a beam bursts through his chest, killing him instantly, and
saving everyone. Whilst he isn’t there, everyone knows that it was Piccolo
who rescued them.
On New Namek, a mysterious craft lands, and starts to drain the planet of
the energy. The peaceful Nameks are forced to queue up to have all of their
energy taken from them, which would result in their deaths. Hearing the call
of his people, Dende, the Earths guardian, calls upon the Z warriors to travel
over to the planet, and rescue the friendly green men. Goku, Gohan, Piccolo,
Krillin, Yajirobe, Roshi, and Oolong travel in the ship, on their way to save
the gracious species.
The Z warriors arrive, and briefly battle some powerful robots, before their leader, Kooler comes. He looks different to last time though, cased in some sort of metal, a cyborg so to speak. Goku has a short flashback, where he remembers how he blasted Kooler into the sun, then looks at him in disbelief, not understanding how anyone could survive something as devastating as that. Kooler decides to ease Goku’s wondrous confusion, and tells him that a meta galactic starship found him, then rescued him, feeding off his energy, and eventually creating him in his cyborg physical form. He says that as he drains peoples energy, he becomes far more powerful than anyone could ever imagine.
Goku and Kooler go off to battle once more, settling an old score, leaving Piccolo, Gohan, Krillin, and Roshi to battle some of the huge, bulky robots in a comical battle, where the warriors hurt their limbs whenever they attack the rigid robots. It finishes when Piccolo discovers their weak points, and begins destroying them, with Gohan joining in. Even Krillin did a fair bit of damage!
Kooler and Goku battle fiercely, with Goku being the eventual loser. He powers up to Super Saiyan form, in the hope of evening up the odds a little, but to no avail. Every time Goku got the advantage, or damages Kooler, he regenerated the weak parts, and announced that he can’t be beaten, as he can reconstruct himself.
It looks as though Kooler is about to finish Goku, when an unlikely savour comes, in the form of Vegeta. He knocks Kooler down, then immediately powers up to Super Saiyan. Goku and Vegeta fight Kooler simultaneously, but are easily defeated, unable to do an awful lot to their opponent. They realize that they aren’t going to beat him like this, so they decide to double team, and work together. They put all they have into it, and barely manage to defeat the monster, despite being paralyzed with pain afterwards. It seems as though all is fine, until a huge group of Kooler’s appear on top of a small ridge. Goku and Vegeta are terrified, but stand up none-the-less, and give out their most powerful blast. They then fade into unconsciousness.
When the two Super Saiyans regain consciousness, they are strapped to a wall, with wires attached to them. Kooler is there, taunting them, and draining their energy. They scream out in pain, but realize how to defeat this flow of raw, intensive power. They charge up, making even more energy flow through the wires, and the control mainframe overload and malfunction. It blows up, destroying much of the meta galactic starship, where the Super Saiyans are being held hostage. They manage to drop down from the wires, incredible badly hurt. Neither Saiyan is able to do much, but Goku struggles, then puts all his power into getting up, and charges up an energy ball to destroy Kooler once and for all. He fails in the attempt though, as Kooler takes all of the remaining power from the starship. Many explosions happen, and all the cyborg Kooler’s explode. The real Kooler is only a quaint portion of facial skin, with many wires and parts attached. Kooler crushes Goku, but before he can finish him off, Vegeta shoots a blast at the evil ones arms, cutting them off, making him release Goku. Quickly using the opportunity, Goku charges up a small spirit bomb, and throws it right into Kooler’s stomach, making him explode almost instantly.
Goku and Vegeta are blasted off the ship, due to the power of the explosion, and soar downwards, all their energy completely spent. They both crash to the ground, hurt fairly badly. Goku is given a sensu bean, and quickly recovers back to his feet, but Vegeta seems to have disappeared.
A small Saiyan pod swiftly flies out of the atmosphere, and inside sits a battered and bloody Vegeta, with a microchip in his hands, containing all the information for Kooler and the meta galactic starship. He crushes it in one hand, and says bye in an evil way to the Kooler reminiscent.
Movie 7: The Three Great Super Saiyans
Android 17 is killing his own creator Dr. Gero, while his sister, Android 18 looks on. After succeeding in the violent act, the two rebellious cyborgs take flight, and we see a large trail of Gero's blood seeping into a crack on the floor. This leads to the lower floor of the compound where the Doctor's computer works tirelessly on his ultimate creation, Cell. In the background, there loom three unopened chambers, marked in succeeding order, 13, 14, and 15...
Cut to the mall, where Trunks, Krillin, Master Roshi, and Oolong are waiting a bit impatiently for the 'Miss Prettiest Girl in the World Contest'. As it doesn't start for several hours, they all have their own little perverted fantasies about the girls, (except Trunks, he's a nice young man, ya hear?)
Anyway, Goku and Gohan are shopping with Chi Chi, and beginning to wonder why women shop so much. Gohan decides that it's her special way of relieving stress. With that, Chi Chi throws Goku a few dozen more boxes to carry.
Suddenly, there is panic in the streets, as two strange people are destroying all that gets in there way. The two beings don't appear human, as the shorter of the two has a maroon tone to his skin, and the tall, muscular one has a complexion that of stone. It seems they are indiscriminately clearing a path towards the mall.
Krillin, Roshi, Oolong, and Trunks have all met up with Chi Chi, Gohan, and Goku, at a restaurant, having found out that the beauty contest wasn't until the next day. A huge explosion interrupts their meal, as the entire top of the building explodes sending the crew flying. Goku tries to figure out who could be capable of such an onslaught, and he notices the two people from earlier charging up ki blasts. He instructs the others to leave the city, as he believes them to only be after him. This holds true, as he learns that they are actually creations of Dr. Gero sent to assassinate him.
They proceed to fight, putting Goku at a disadvantage, having to battle two powerful creatures at once. Trunks comes to his aid, and suggests they take their fight away from the city and to an abandoned polar region in the north. They fly off with the androids in hot pursuit. Gohan and Krillin look on, and wonder if they would be of any use in this fight. Gohan decides that even if it is against his mother's wishes, he has to try and help, so that his father will have a better chance at surviving the battle. Krillin doesn't want to follow, but Chi Chi gives him a swift kick in the ass that sends him flying that way.
Back to Gero's lab: The chambers marked 14 and 15 have been opened, thus ensuring that the two creatures seen earlier were in fact the design of Gero. Abruptly, the chamber labeled 13 begins to flash, and open, revealing yet another android. A shadowy figure who, just like the others before him, only utters the phrase 'Son Goku'...
In the arctic tundra, Trunks and Goku have begun the assault on the two androids, which are leaving them a bit dazed. A voice from above is heard. It turns out to be the new android, a lean, tall, white-haired model, and he seems unimpressed by Goku's fighting abilities. They wonder just how many robots Gero made, and number 13 explains that it wasn't Gero who made them, but the computer itself. It had amplified the Doctor's hatred for our hero, several times, and they were the end result. He hits Goku with a large Ki beam, which throws him down into the icy depths.
Trunks is doing his best to fend off 14 (big one) and 15 (small one), but they're just too much for him. 13 Fires his powerful Super Spirit Bomb, but Vegeta suddenly intervenes, and joins in the fight. He takes on 15, while Trunks continues to attack 14, and Goku trades licks with 13. He is quick to warn the androids that they've been underestimating them all along. With that, they all three go Super Saiyan, raising each of their powers far beyond the comprehension of the androids. This pleases Gohan and Krillin as they look on to see that they're back in the game.
Gohan decides to fire a blast at number 13, which does little more than catch his attention and make him send another right back. It is blocked however, by Piccolo! He rushes onto the scene and assists Goku in the struggle.
Vegeta is still in combat with 15, when the android suddenly explodes from severe damage, leaving a mess of computer chips its wake. Trunks slices 14 in half with his sword, destroying it as well. All of the warriors congregate around the now lone, 13, and prepare to strike. But, wait, it seems 13 has an unusual ability. He is able to absorb the two processors and CPU's left behind from the destruction of 14 and 15. As a result, he becomes a sort of Super 13, a pumped-up version of himself that takes on a blue skin tone with spiky red hair and yellow eyes.
Being the glory hog he is, Vegeta attacks Super 13 with all his might, does absolutely no damage, and is beaten literally into the ground. Trunks tries to help his father, but is quickly sent crashing into a mountain at breakneck speed by one of 13's blasts. Piccolo is easily disposed of, and even Goku doesn't seem to stand much of a chance. 13 has seemingly become far too powerful to deal with now.
Goku could've easily stayed down. Nothing he could do anyway, correct? Yeah right. It's Spirit Bomb time. Slowly but surely, the energy ball gained in size, all the while Trunks and Vegeta are doing their best to use what strength they have left to buy Goku all the time he needs. Piccolo jumps in and grabs 13, steering his Dead Bomb away from his path, and says exactly what we're all thinking, "Goku, Show him what a Super Saiyan is made of!!"
With that, Goku transforms
to Super Saiyan mode, and Krillin brings it to our attention that he can't
use a Spirit Bomb in that form, since his heart is full of hatred. It turns
out that he doesn't throw it at all, he actually absorbs it within himself,
creating an ultra power stasis around his body, and melting all of the surrounding
ice. When 13 tries to punch him, his hands begin to
disintegrate. Goku eventually punches straight through his stomach, sending
13 flying backwards and eventually turning to nothing but dust.
After the battle, Goku gathers up the others and takes them on a boat ride home. The scene switches to a hospital, where Gohan and Krillin are bandaged up and many of the others are standing around talking with them. Gohan asks what happened to Vegeta and Piccolo after the battle, and his dad tells him that 'knowing those two, they're just fine.'
The scene switches to Vegeta and Piccolo afloat on a small iceberg, sitting with their backs turned to one another.
Movie 8: Valiant Fight! Violent Fight! Super Exciting Fight!
A powerful force, that of a Saiyan, has just destroyed the South Galaxy, and North Kai, fears that our galaxy will be the next to go.
Spring has begun, and while the others go off and have fun, taking in a traditional view of the cherry blossoms, Goku is held in Chi Chi's grasp. She drags him along to a parent interview, which will test their worth, and be a deciding factor whether Gohan is accepted to the school. Goku is, as expected uncomfortable. Chi Chi insists he be proper, having him wear a business suit, and lie about his hobbies (he wants to say fighting tough opponents, but she tells him to say reading and sports!).
While the two are partaking in their little lying contest, their friends are enjoying the peaceful serenity of the blossoms. Krillin is screeching out some karaoke, which is driving Vegeta a tad bit insane, when a large circular spaceship descends from above. It belongs to Paragas, yet another Saiyan left after the destruction of planet Vegeta, along with his own army. Paragas persuades Vegeta, as the last of the saiyan royalty, to come with him to his new planet Vegeta, and help rebuild the fallen saiyan Empire. Vegeta decides against it, but Paragas speaks up about the Legendary Super Saiyan. He tells Vegeta that he is the only one who has the power to defeat such a warrior... one who has already destroyed the South Galaxy... To this Vegeta agrees, and boards the ship, along with Roshi, Trunks, Oolong, Gohan, and Krillin.
Somewhere between all of this, Kai has contacted Goku telepathically. He tells him of the Saiyan power he felt in the South Galaxy, and that he'll be in the North Galaxy soon. Goku then teleports to Kai's small planet, attempts to detect the ki of the warrior, teleports that the suspected location, only to find him gone. An incredible ki is still present, though.
The others have since arrived at the new Planet Vegeta. Upon reaching a group of people celebrating Vegeta's return, Paragas introduces him to his son, Brolly, a slim, tall, and quiet young man. A soldier informs Vegeta that the legendary Saiyan showed up on planet Tonosama. This surprises Vegeta, and he quickly enlists Brolly to help him take care of him. Trunks asks his father to first gather more information on this dangerous situation, but Vegeta refuses, and makes his way to the site.
Trunks, Gohan, and Krillin
follow along, and Krillin begins to doubt the existence of such a warrior.
Trunks agrees, but he reassures that his father believes it fully. They discover
that the planet is mostly in ruin, with little or no life left on its surface.
Gohan can't quite understand why Paragas would want to rebuild the Saiyan
race on such an inadequate planet. Suddenly, Krillin sees a giant dome shaped
light of some kind over the horizon. The group finds that it's actually energy
being pumped from the core of the planet and sent to the palace, so it can
support life. This task is being performed by a race of aliens, taken from
their own home after the Saiyan destroyed their own home. They're being treated
as slaves, malnourished and overworked, and they see the Saiyan as the demons
of the universe. A soldier jumps down and sees the small child who had divulged
this information to our heroes, and begins to hit him with a whip for slacking
off. Gohan acts quickly and busts the soldier in the face, smashing right
through his helmet he whistles for help, which comes and encircles Gohan.
Krillin just kind of laughs and tells the squadron not to be messing with
them, because of their strength. The goons quickly back off. Krillin's ego
gets bigger, and he starts punching and kicking at the air, just as Goku materializes
in front of his fist. He catches a hard right the jaw, which knocks him down.
Krillin asks him what he's doing here, and he tells them that he was simply
following the ki of the legendary Saiyan. Krillin tells Goku about the whole
Vegeta thing, and suddenly Paragas appears, welcoming 'Kakarot' to the planet.
He knows that he is Bardock's son, and asks him to stay awhile and have a
meal. Goku comes to the conclusion that the ki he felt was certainly not that
of Paragas's, and has his dinner. The aliens are having a meal of their own,
along with Trunks, Krillin, and Gohan. They ask if it was Paragas that attacked
their planet, but are met with a resounding 'no'. Trunks sensed very little
power from Brolly, so he decides that the legendary Saiyan must be far off
somewhere... Paragas is in an observatory, high above his city, strangely
asking that a comet known as Kumorie come destroy his planet. Vegeta and Brolly
return unsuccessfully from their trip, and are met by Goku who is hanging
around the castle. Vegeta tell Goku not to interfere with his plans to kill
the legendary super Saiyan and walks off. Brolly then stares at Goku with
bitter rage, clenching his fist, and creating a huge aura of energy around
the two. Paragas sees this and attempts to calm Brolly using some strange
contraption on his hand. Roshi and Oolong round the corner, and ask Paragas
to prepare a ship for their departure, as they've seen enough of the planet.
Brolly then calms down, and his aura fades.
Later that night, Paragas is having his hand device checked by a scientist.
He says it isn't broken, and perhaps Brolly is just becoming too much for
it to control. Paragas walks out of the lab, and worries that Goku is the
cause of him being unable to control Brolly with his instrument. He has flashbacks
dating back to when Brolly was an adolescent, a super Saiyan who was quickly
destroying a city with ki blasts. He talks about how Brolly is a true breed
of Saiyan. He was born with incredible power and as he grew up, it became
so violent and threatening that it scared him. He had a scientist to create
tool that would work in conjunction with a remote device to control Brolly's
power. It consisted of a golden headband, and a matching gauntlet remote,
which in turn gave him the power to rule the universe with Brolly under his
command. He figures that if the tool is still working, then it means that
his meeting with Goku made him unable to be harnessed. Paragas then remembers
that Goku and Brolly were born on the same day...
Cut to the hospital, where baby Brolly and Goku are lying in their cribs. Goku is bawling his eyes out. Two doctors are discussing how incredible it is that Brolly was born with a fighting power of 10,000, while Bardock's son, Kakarot was only born with a meager level of 2. Kakarot's crying was making Brolly cry as well, so one of the doctors suggests that though his combat level is low, his fighting spirit is incredibly high.
Paragas looks in on Brolly sitting in a chair, filled with rage and shaking like a madman. Paragas damns Goku, and realizes that if he can't control Brolly, the universe will be destroyed. Brolly raises his energy and screams out "Kakarot!!!"
All of our heroes are in bed, asleep, when Brolly bursts in and tears up the place, looking to kill Goku. He gets him outside, and over a lake, just as Paragas hears the commotion and grabs his wrist remote. Goku finds it interesting that Brolly can hide his power like the Z fighters. Brolly rushes at Goku and gets kicked in the face, leaving a trail of blood running from his mouth. Brolly licks it up, and smiles. Goku's attacks are beginning to have no effect on him, and eventually Brolly begins to power up further, beefing up his muscles, and leading Goku to sense the same ki he had felt earlier. Paragas arrives, and attempts to calm him down Brolly. It works, and the father and son duo fly home. Goku has found the identity of the legendary super Saiyan. We then see a brief shot of the dreaded comet coming closer to the planet...
Morning. Vegeta and Brolly are making their way to the spaceship, much to the dismay of Paragas. He wants to keep Vegeta on the planet until the comet hits. Brolly begins to go insane again, as he hears Goku's voice coming from within the spaceship. He tells Vegeta that he doesn't need to go anywhere to find the legendary super Saiyan, since he's with them now. Goku instructs Paragas to confess to Vegeta about Brolly's status as the legendary super Saiyan. Paragas denies this fact, and asks Vegeta to return to the palace. Trunks then shows up, loudly declaring that Paragas is lying about everything. He informs them of the alien race he has enslaved to make the planet what it has become. While they ascend the hill towards the fighters, one of the alien children sees Brolly and announces him as the one who attacked their home planet. Vegeta is outraged at this trickery, and Paragas finally confesses. His true location to rebuild the Saiyan Empire was on Earth where resources are abundant, but he feared Vegeta would be in his way. That's why he designed a mock kingdom on a planet, with a comet fixed impact. By luring Vegeta there, and escaping the planet just before collision, Paragas would have no competition in the universe, and would be free to rule it with Brolly.
Brolly's anger consumes him, so he goes SSJ and walks slowly towards Goku. Vegeta immediately transforms as well, and tries to defeat Brolly with absolutely no success. Brolly's rage envelops him to such an extent that he is finally able to transform into a true super Saiyan and his golden headband shatters. His insane mind is now free. Vegeta is completely astonished at this occurrence, and he is reduced to a statuesque state of frightful awe. Gohan jumps in and tries to help his dad in the fight, but is quickly injured by simply coming into contact with the legendary warrior. As Trunks swoops in to help, Vegeta admits to himself that there will be no escape from this monster... Brolly will kill them all.
Paragas begins to speak indirectly to Vegeta. He regrets that his plan has failed him. He recollects on his hate for Vegeta's father, who saw Brolly's great power for what it actually was... a great threat. He wanted the baby killed off, and when Paragas tried to persuade him against it, he was killed and thrown off into the dumps along with his son, who had been stabbed to death. But... they didn't die. Just as Frieza sent his death ball to destroy the original planet Vegeta, Brolly's latent power sprung to life and resurrected the both of them, and transported them into space, in a strange ball of energy. Since then, Paragas only lived for revenge, if not on King Vegeta, then on his son.
So begins the fight. One by one, all of the fighters, sans Vegeta raise their levels to that of super Saiyan. Still, they're not having much luck. Brolly's size doesn't decrease his speed in the slightest, and his brute strength is overwhelming. Krillin, Oolong, Roshi, and the alien slaves show up, and are attempting to escape the doomed planet. Brolly notices the aliens, and reminds them of the times they looked up at their home planet and wondered when they could return. He fires a blast at the aliens, but it ricochets off of the ground, and flies backwards. He wasn't aiming for them at all! It soars higher and higher, then collides with their planet, completely obliterating it. The monster simply laughs at this event, and the slaves are forced to move along off of the battlefield with Krillin and the others.
The battle rages. It's devastatingly one-sided. Trunks keeps getting rammed violently in to walls and such, Gohan gets knocked out and hung on a rod, and Goku generally can't do much damage do the big lug. Though he does get off a great line. After pummeling Goku with ki blasts, only to have Goku to walk out still standing, Brolly asks "don't you ever give up?" To which Goku responds, "Heh, I never learned how."
Brolly discovers that his ki is growing in strength. He's having real trouble controlling his own actions anymore, and what was left of his mind seems to be deteriorating quickly. He uncontrollably sends a flurry of ki blasts in all directions destroying much of the planet. He finally regains control of himself and senses something from Gohan. He throws a ball of energy at him, which is deflected by the one and only, Piccolo! Brolly decides that he's just another bug waiting to be squashed. Piccolo calls him a monster and tells him to do his best, but Brolly doesn't like to refer to himself as a monster, "monster? No, I'm the devil."
Piccolo gives each of the fallen heroes a sensu, and explains to Goku that the reason he knew their location was because he heard Kai and Goku conversing earlier. He came as fast as he could on a spaceship. He also admits that he has never felt a ki as strong as Brolly's before. Meanwhile, Paragas is surveying the ever-approaching comet, while Krillin, Oolong, and Roshi have departed. Piccolo grabs Vegeta, and tries to get him to help them fight, but Vegeta is scared of Brolly's power. Piccolo is ashamed that a prince could be so cowardly, so he drops him to the ground, and flies back to the battlefield. Lying in the rubble, Vegeta asks himself the reason they continue to fight, though they know they can't win. He finally renounces his fear, and joins his allies on the field, despite the fact that it probably won't change things.
Paragas is making his way to his space pod. Only a few hours remain until the comet will make contact. He decides that since he no longer has control over Brolly, he will just let him die along with the planet. But just before Paragas can launch off, Brolly shows up and asks him where he's going. He sees that his father has only been using him for all these years, so he takes the ship, crushes it with his father still inside, and throws it into the comet. Though this may seem harsh, Paragas mentions that it is the cursed destiny of the Saiyan for the son to kill the father. It would seem that Brolly has won. Everyone is out of the game, and he's free to move on. But Goku is one that will never say die. He walks confidently towards Brolly, his body mangled, his power spent, but his spirit still intact. Piccolo utters that everyone give Goku what power they still have left. Vegeta is the only one to refuse. Goku still doesn't have what it takes to kill the monster. Brolly begins to stomp repeatedly on Goku's chest, resulting in massive damage. All the while the comet is getting closer and closer. Goku is still taking punishment; he just can't do it without Vegeta's energy. Brolly is getting incredibly pissed off at Goku, and how he just won't give up, though his pain is intense. Finally, Vegeta abandons his status, and begins to give him his power. Just as Brolly is about to deliver the final blow, Goku catches his fist, and lets off a supercharge of energy, that bewilders Brolly, and makes him back off a bit. One by one, each of the warriors tap out of their energy, and leave it all up to Goku. The comet is within the atmosphere of the planet, and the ground is beginning to break apart, both warriors charge at each other, at the same speed. Brolly gets above Goku, and is ready to slam Goku from above, just as Goku uppercuts him blisteringly hard into the gut, twisting his fist as he goes. Brolly flashes back to when they were babies in the hospital, and Goku's crying was making him cry as well, then it was all over. Goku's punch hit him so hard that it burst right through his stomach, and made him explode in a fiery array of light. Goku fell back and shouted "WE BEAT HIM!" just as the planet was disintegrated by the comet.
So what happened to the good guys? Goku teleported all his friends and the slaves to the ship being flown by Krillin, Roshi, and Oolong. Goku gives the camera a peace sign, and teleports home with Gohan. There they meet a disgruntled Chi Chi who complains to Goku that they've been gone so long that Spring Break is over. To this Goku replies, "My hobbies are reading and sports!" Chi Chi falls over, and Goku and Gohan rush to check on her. The universe is safe once again.
Movie 9: The Galaxy Is In Danger!! The Super Awesome Guy
This movie takes place in the 7-year gap that follows after the Cell Saga. Trunks and Gohan have entered a tournament in an attempt to win the Grand Prize of a hot springs vacation for their mothers. Also competing in the tournament are Krillin, Tien, and Piccolo. To top matters off Hercule (aka Mr. Satan) will fight the winner of the tournament.
Well the tournament gets underway and Trunks defeats Tien. Piccolo becomes completely disgusted at the fact that there is no one with a great fighting spirit at the tournament and so decides to withdraw, leaving Krillin, Gohan, and Trunks to advance to the next stage. However, during the second stage of the tournament, space villains pose as warriors and start to do battle with the Z warriors.
We soon learn from King Kai that the villain behind all this mayhem is none other than Bojack. The four Kai's imprisoned Bojack many ions ago, but because King Kai is dead the seal was broken and now Bojack has his eyes on Earth.
Since Goku is dead the only one strong enough to save the world from chaos is his son Gohan and the remaining Z warriors. Will Gohan's Super Saiyan 2 powers be enough to stop the threat of Bojack and his henchmen? You'll want to see this movie, which is considered by many Japanese fans as the last great DBZ movie in the series!
Movie 10: Dangerous Partners! Super Warriors Never Rest
In this movie Brolly's pod crash-lands on earth and he awakens after a long coma.
Goten, Trunks, and Videl are out searching for the mysterious dragonballs so that Videl can finally see Shenron. While on the hunt they come across a village where, after many hi jinks, they acquire a dragonball and spend the night.
The next morning while out on the lake, Videl is attacked by Brolly and knocked silly. Goten and Trunks eventually show up and get into a fight with Brolly who has mistaken Goten for Goku.
Elsewhere, Gohan feels a strong ki and realizes that it is Brolly. Gohan now races at full speed to save his friends from impending doom.
Will Gohan make it in enough time to save the day? Can Goten and Trunks manage to summon the eternal Dragon Shenron for help? And why the hell is Krillin wearing a Piccolo outfit? All these questions and more will be answered in this painfully bad DBZ movie.
Movie 11: Crushing Super Warrior!! I Am The Winner
This is the worst DBZ movie that you or I will ever lay eyes on. In this film Android 18 has gone to the office of Hercule to collect the money he owes her for throwing the match at the World Martial Arts Tournament.
Waiting outdoors for Android 18 is Krillin, Goten, and Trunks. Eventually an old foe from Hercule's past sends his cousin to challenge him and Hercule accepts the challenge thinking that he will be able to get rid of Android 18.
Well, Android 18 decides to go with him while Goten and Trunks smuggle themselves in the back seat. At the home of Hercule's old rival Jaga, Hercule begs Android 18 to help him out in return for some money. So Android 18 with the help of Goten and Trunks do battle with some biogenetic clones.
After the fight, Trunks and Goten stumble across a test tube that happens to have a familiar enemy inside of it in the form of Brolly (a clone).
Eventually, Jaga orders his scientist to release Brolly but the clone starts to mutate and his appearances changes into what looks like a genetic mess. Will Trunks and Goten be able to stop Brolly this time without the help of Gohan or will Brolly finally take care of them?
Movie 12: The Rebirth Of Fusion!! Goku And Vegeta
In the wake of Movie #11 being a complete bomb, the producers took a different story angle for Movie #12. Up in heaven Goku and Pikkon are about to compete in the finals of yet another outer world tournament when all of a sudden the outer world and the demon world start to change before Goku and everyone's eyes.
Apparently, a young kid who was working for King Yemma accidentally unleashed a powerful demon known as Janemba. Janemba has the power to bend and change the afterlife world to his own will. He eventually starts to change the laws of the world of the dead and Earth.
On Earth the dead are coming back to life. Gohan, Trunks, Goten, and Videl are now trying their best to stop the dead from harming others while Bulma gathers the dragonballs to fix this dilemma. Well, Bulma eventually does call Shenron forth but is informed that the he cannot grant her wish since the world of the dead is King Yemma's territory and not his.
So unfortunately for Gohan, Goten, Trunks, and Videl, it's back to fighting the dead for now. Probably the funniest thing you will see in this movie is Gohan killing Frieza with one punch. The second funniest thing you will see in this film is Goten and Trunks trying to fight off Hitler and his army of soldiers.
Back in outer world Goku faces off against Janemba and does a good job in dealing with Janemba until he changes his form into a much stronger one. Luckily for Goku, Vegeta comes to his aid thanks to Janemba changing the rules of afterlife. The two Saiyans do battle with Janemba and eventually they both realize they can't beat him. Goku then comes up with the idea to fuse into one being.
Will Vegeta and his pride
allow him to accept Goku's offer and fuse into one being? What is the mystery
behind the fusion dance? What will become of the earth and the afterlife?
You'll definitely want to see this very original DragonBall Z movie to
find out the answers to that question!
Movie 13: Dragon Fist Explosion!! If Goku Can't Do It, No One Can
This is the last of the Dragon Ball Z films. In this one, Gohan and Videl save a weird guy from committing suicide (that in reality is a cheap attempt to get the Z fighters' trust and support).
He tells the Z fighters of a great hero that is locked up inside a music box that can only be opened by Shenron. The Z fighters go on a search to find the balls and are successful in releasing the warrior known as Tapion from his imprisonment.
However, there is an ironic twist behind this situation: Tapion does not want to be free and we soon learn the story behind him and being trapped in that music box.
Elsewhere, Gohan has discovered what appears to be the bottom half of a monster terrorizing the citizens of Satan City.
After a brief rampage the monster disappears thanks to the actions that Tapion takes. Eventually, after many long and drawn-out scenes we learn the full extent to Tapion's secret, which is really the fact that the other half of the monster is within him and could break free at any minute.
As this is being said the monster does the only logical thing that a lame plot like this could cause it to do - the monster manages to free itself from within Tapion and rejoins with the bottom half to become Hildergarn.
Unfortunately, Tapion can no longer stop this monster and it is now up to the Z fighters to use their combined powers to stop this evil threat!
